I havn't had a problem with the assemply or it holding together. The car seat fits really well in the base and stroller. It isn't that heavy either so I can lift the stroller over my front step with no problem. The stroller was easy to put together and using the carseat base is a breeze! The basket under the stroller has plenty of room (I even use it for grocery shopping) and my baby sleeps comfortably. I purchased this because Graco does not manufacture an extra base specifically for the Snugride 30, and the packaging advertises that this base is compatible with it. However, as several other reviewers have noted, this is only partially the case. Although the car seat does lock into the base, there is no level indicator on the base to allow you to determine whether the car seat is properly angled. For those who own the Snugride 35, the level indicator is on the car seat itself, but the Snugride 30 relies on a level indicator on its base. After browsing the internet for solutions, I have found that it is possible to "eyeball" the angle by using the red line on the side of my car seat, but this really doesn't seem adequate. The level indicator provides convenience and certainty that you have installed the seat right, whereas the red line method is less exact and a hassle. Moreover, Graco does not provide any... This review is from: Graco Snugride 30/35 Infant Car Seat Base, Black (Baby Product) I Read the reviews and decided to order the extra-base even with the issues people were having to make it work with the Snugride30 carseat. What a mistake, not only is there no level but there are no instructions on how to level it without one. Even using a household level you still need to know the proper incline (they don't just sit flat). We could have lived with being off a few degrees, but when we tested the seat in the base it wobbled... A LOT. Not something that is very comforting to put your little one in. To top it off, it kept getting stuck in the base when we tried to remove it, I can only imagine how frustrating that would have been if there was a baby in it and it wouldn't unlatch. None of these things are an issue when placed in the original base made specifically for the Snugride 30. It levels easily and properly, snaps in securely, and releases smoothly. Graco is out of their minds if they think that the Snugride 35 base is an acceptable option... It was worth all the money I paid for it as it was over $200 dollars. It is super easy to use; the seat sets easily into the base and clicks when "in". It is easy to pull out and the thing to sqeeze to get the seat out of the base is huge, tan and clearly able to locate. The stroller folds up and down easily with the sqeeze and slide of a well placed large button. It folds like a dream and you can easily wheel it closed down as the wheels are locked into position, so they don't turn around on you. You can tell that when you buy something this expensive, you are getting the good stuff! I was a little surprised that the color design and pattern are not easily observed to see what the pattern is truly. There are two pinks, where one is more purple pink, on top, and then a more bubble gum pink on the bottom, which does not really show up on the pictures. I actually waited for months to get it when I ordered it because it was out of stock; and I was almost having my baby but could not settle on any other one. So I waited (and got it only two days before my baby arrived). I love its elegant and sophisticated design and colors. I've gotten so many compliments about it. I think it's the best design in market for a little princess. I still have not come across any prettier designs. I was looking for something girly yet sophisticated and not entirely pink with huge patterns such as butterflies. It's really easy to use and assemble. I love the way the stroller folds standing up on its wheels - so easily by just pressing and moving the button. You can even drag it on its wheels without having to open it if you are moving it from one place to another. The car seat easily snaps onto the base in the car, or on the stroller. If I were to shop all over again, I would purchase... The stroller has a very easy pop up/fold up button. I don't believe there is another product that would compare to this one. Very happy with my purchase and I think my niece and great niece are too!
