For people considering the 22lb Graco snugride I cover some of the features of this model: GracoPedic foam, a weather boot, an infant head support, harness covers, and front adjusting harness straps. My wife and I chose the 22lb over the 30/35lb because we were told that babies tend to outgrow an infant carseat because of their length rather than their weight. So although the 30lb seat allows for 8 more lbs of baby it only allows 1 extra inch of length. The base was very easy to install with the LATCH system and we had no problem adjusting the straps for our tiny 5lb baby on our trip from the hospital. We decided on the Snugride in Platinum because of its neutral tones and good reviews, and I liked the fact that it includes a foot muff for cooler weather. We wanted a color that would pair nicely with the Graco Snugrider stroller frame, and this works brilliantly. The photo makes the light color look almost silver though, when in fact the seat is black with a khaki/beige accent color. I expected that from other reviews I've read, and it's still neutral and sharp looking, so we don't mind. Once we received it, the seat was easy to install in our vehicle (Latch system) and the sun shade was really the only item needing assembly. (That took about five minutes.) The sun shade seems a teeny bit flimsy and the material of the foot muff seems likely to snag on Velcro or other rough materials, but so far we haven't had any problems with either. The...
