I was able to look at the regular Onboard Air 35 and love that it has mesh fabric to keep baby cool and although this isn't exactly the same it also seems very breathable...on the black part. I am not pleased with the fabric on the infant insert and can best describe it as the same type of fabric used on lawn furniture. I plan to use this carseat for my next baby and more than likely will not be using the infant insert because it is so rough and plastic-feeling. I live in a very hot climate so the fabric being breathable is very important to me. The only other negative I have is that the canopy has to be adjusted with two hands and is not quiet at all.
