A one inch push of the bar forward (and have 'screws' flush with black mounts) made all the difference. Now the car seat does snap in and can not be removed even without the buckle across the seat. Wish someone had told me that if it doesn't snap in (so that you can lift the whole stroller/seat together) you've installed it wrong!!! I was finally able to get my Keyfit 30 to snap into the adapter..after many tries. 1. Standing behind the stroller (as if you're pushing the stroller), the "FOOT" support bar should be closest to you. The "HEAD" support bar should be farthest away from you. 2. When putting together the support bars, you want to make sure you are putting the black bar fasteners on the correct side of the support bars. The bar fasteners should go on the RIGHT SIDE of the adapter brackets. I originally put the bar fasteners in on the left side of the adapter brackets, and when I put the Keyfit in, it sat inside the support bars instead of snapping in. (I realized later that the instructions did show the fasteners on the right side of the brackets..but you have to look very closely. The instructions don't state that important fact at all.) At first I thought it was just ok and would have given it 2 stars. Here is why: the front wheels would stick when turning even slightly. This made it pretty impossible to steer one handed. However, recently I had an idea to spray some silicone lubricant on the part of the wheel assembly that pivots. This corrected the problem completely!!! :) we just returned from an all day visit to the San Diego zoo and I could not only steer one handed, but do it while holding my 2 month old who needed a break from the seat. So I rate this with 4 stars! I really like the parent consol too and I have not had problems with drinks spilling as long as the cup isn't too big for the holder. I tend to ignore 1-star reviews thinking that they're biased, but I just don't know how to be very nice about this review because this isn't that great of a stroller for the money. Does it work? Sure. But is there a lot better on Amazon and elsewhere for the money? Heck yeah. For those of you who like this thing, I think you just have different standards than I do, and good for you, because there are probably not many products that bother you. I was going to buy the Jeep snap n'go that fits all kind of infant car seats when I saw on Amazon that Safety 1st had just made a snap n'go for their car seats, so I bought it instead. I use it with the Designer 22 which clips on it. It is very easy to fold and unfold, relatively light, holds together when folded and can even stand by itself when folded, which is convenient when I put it away. This review is from: Britax Chaperone Infant Carrier Base (Baby Product) We have the Britax Chaperone carseat, and love it. It's sturdier than other carseats and has side impact protection, which most brands don't have. The base is rather large, but it has that additional safety bar that rests against the seat, making the carseat safer than other brands. The base does hang off the seat a few inches, but we had it checked by safety officials and they said it's fine. I drive a Honda CR-V and it fits my middle seat just fine. My only complaint is that the LATCH attachment isn't long enough to use in the middle seat of my husband's GMC Sierra truck crew cab. So, we have to use the seat belt to strap it in instead of the LATCH to keep the carseat in the middle back seat. My CR-V doesn't have LATCH, so we use the seat belt to strap it down anyway. We purchased this car seat after doing quite a bit of research. I have to agree with other reviews as they pertain to the size of this thing! I can see how this carseat may not be able to comfortably fit into a midsize to compact size car! We own a Yukon so the size isn't much of a hassle. That's the only downside to this. This car seat is very easy to handle. It easily attaches into both the base as well as the B-Ready stroller (Must purchase seperate). We purchased the B-Ready stroller as well and although it is a bit larger in size, especially when compared to most other strollers, it is VERY EASY to handle. We call it our 'lil doombuggy'! The B-Ready stroller can hold up to two children at once, which was another reason we decided to go with this brand. All-in-all, we realized that this particular car seat and stroller were a bit pricier then others, I really think it is well worth the price! "You...
